3rd Party Quality Assurance Inspection Program
Wood Truss Plant Program

TPI's Quality Assurance Program (QAP) was established in the late 1960's in the Baltimore area. TPI is recognized by the National Evaluation Services, Inc. as a quality assurance and/or inspection agency in accordance with NER-QA430, and TPI is certified by the WTCA to provide supplemental inspections per their WTCA QC protocol. Today, over 345 truss manufacturers agree via a "Mark License Agreement" to build trusses in accordance with the ANSI/TPI 1 Standard and TPI's QAP Manual. The licensee agrees to monitor quality via an in-plant check list for each structural set-up (gable ends, open jacks, step down hips, bobtail trusses are exempt), or it may implement an in-plant process control monitoring system such as one promulgated by the In-Plant WTCA QC program which is endorsed by TPI.
