ANSI/TPI 1-2002: National Design Standard for Metal Plate Connected Wood Truss Construction (revision of ANSI/TPI 1-1995) - Covers design responsibilities, quality criteria for trusses, metal connector plate manufacturing, performance evaluation of metal connector plated connections, materials & general design considerations, member design procedures, and metal connector plate joint design.

ANSI/TPI 1-1995: National Design Standard for Metal Plate Connected Wood Truss Construction - see ANSI/TPI 1-2002

ANSI/TPI 2-1995: Standard for Testing Metal Plate Connected Wood Trusses - Provides procedures for testing & evaluating wood trusses designed and manufactured with metal connector plates in accordance with ANSI/TPI 1. Testing procedures for destructive load tests of full scale trusses subjected to static loading.

Building Component Safety Information, BCSI 2006: Guide to Good Practice for Handling, Installing, Restraining & Bracing of Metal Plate Connected Wood Trusses - This updated booklet produced by the Truss Plate Institute (TPI) and WTCA is the truss industry's new and improved guide for jobsite safety and truss performance. This 8.5" x 11" edition (3-hole punched and spiral bound) replaces BCSI 1-03 and TPI's earlier publication HIB-91. BCSI includes the most current information regarding the handling, installation, restraining and bracing of metal plate connected wood trusses. All BCSI orders are available through WTCA.

To order, visit WTCA's online catalog or complete the BCSI Flyer & Order Form and return it to WTCA.

DSB-89: Recommended Design Specification for Temporary Bracing of Metal Plate Connected Wood Trusses - A specification developed primarily for technical audiences such as engineers and architects of record and truss design engineers. The specification covers the determination of temporary bracing requirements for symmetrical dual pitched triangular, mono pitched triangular, scissors, and 2x4/2x6 parallel chord metal plate connected wood trusses spaced four feet on center or less. Includes a supplement with temporary bracing tables for use in lieu of specific design analysis for a particular metal plate connected wood truss installation system.

DAR-92: Performance of Metal Plate Connected Wood Truss Roof Structures During Hurricane Andrew

Research Report 81-1: Testing and Analysis of 4x2 Parallel Chord Metal Plate Connected Wood Trusses.

Technical Note - 18: Ceiling-Floor Partition Separation - What is it and why is it occurring?

Fire Test "FC-214": Double layer of 1/2" Type X gypsum directly applied to the bottom chord.

Fire Test "FC-392": Single layer of 5/8" FireCode C gypsum directly applied to the bottom chord.

Fire Test "UL-L528/L529": Single layer of 5/8" FireCode C gypsum directly applied to furring channel affixed to the bottom chord.
