The current Project Committee PC was formed in the beginning of 2006 and held their first meeting February 16, 2006. The PC operates in accordance with the TPI Project Committee Method to Achieve Consensus (PCMAC) and has formed workgroups focused on specific topic areas.

PC Workgroups

The PC has developed the latest draft document (BSR/TPI 1-200X) which was open for Public Review and Comment as outlined below. The draft BSR/TPI 1-200X establishes minimum requirements for the design and construction of metal plate connected wood trusses. The standard describes the materials used in a truss, both lumber and steel, and design procedures for truss members and joints. Responsibilities, methods for evaluating the metal connector plates, and manufacturing quality assurance are also contained in the standard.
