ASSURANCE INSPECTION PROGRAM
FOR
THE STEEL TRUSS INDUSTRY
TPI is pleased to announce a new third party quality assurance program for steel truss fabricators. Enclosed are application forms detailing cost structures for sole-purpose steel truss fabrication locations, and multi-purpose wood & steel truss fabrication at the same location. Our program will assist your firm meet the requirements of IBC 2000 1704.2 Inspection of Fabricators (structural load bearing members & assemblies). In addition, TPI's program is specifically structured around AISI/COFS/TRUSS 2001 "Standard for Cold-Formed Steel Framing - Truss Design", AISI/COFS/GP 2001 "Standard for Cold-Formed Steel Framing - General Provisions", STCA "Quality Standard for Steel Truss & Component Manufacturing", truss design criteria, and additional quality tolerances (lap shear gap, member-to-member gap, etc) that may be unique to proprietary or commodity C-sections and connections.
