TPI 1 Project Committee Information:
Overview
The TPI 1-2007 Project Committee (PC) was formed in the beginning of 2006 and held its first meeting February 16, 2006 and completed its activities in December 2007. Currently the TPI 1 PC is inactive. Below is a brief history of the most recent PC activity.
All TPI PC's operates in accordance with the TPI Project Committee Method to Achieve Consensus (PCMAC). The ANSI/TPI 1-2007 PC formed workgroups focused on specific topic areas in order to better accomplish its tasks.

- Quality Control Workgroup (Ch 3)
- Loads & Analysis Workgroup (Ch 6 & 7)
- Connection Design Workgroup (Ch 4, 5, & 8)
There were 3 Public Reviews during the development of ANSI/TPI 1-2007. The PC completed its efforts in December 2007. ANSI officially approved the process in February 2008. Final publication is scheduled for spring of 2008. ANSI/TPI 1-2007 establishes minimum requirements for the design and construction of metal plate connected wood trusses. The standard describes the materials used in a truss, both lumber and steel, and design procedures for truss members and joints. Responsibilities, methods for evaluating the metal connector plates, and manufacturing quality assurance are also contained in the standard.
